MEET ONE OF OUR THERAPY PATHOLOGISTS
Lindsey Peral, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Lindsey Peral has been an ASHA certified Speech-Language pathologist since 2007. Lindsey graduated magna cum laude with a major in Communication Disorders and a minor in education from New York University. Lindsey completed a semester of student teaching in a NYCDOE elementary and middle school, allowing her to become familiar with New York City schools. Lindsey received her Master of the Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at The George Washington University. During her graduate studies, she specialized in pediatric services, completing graduate fieldwork in both private practice and public school settings. Lindsey had the privilege to work with Diane Lewis, co-author of Affect Based Language Curriculum (ABLC), a program bridging Floor time with speech language therapy for children diagnosed with Autism. After completing her graduate degree, Lindsey worked for a private practice in Bethesda, Maryland, that provided the speech and language services to children at The Kingsbury Center, a school in Washington, DC for children with a variety of learning disabilities. Here she gained experience developing and implementing IEP goals that were specific to each child’s educational needs. Lindsey’s areas of expertise include identifying early reading skill weaknesses and the remediation of reading disorders, as well as using a multifaceted approach to treat children with oral motor, articulation and phonological disorders. She is PROMPT and Phono-graphix trained. She is currently licensed in NY and previously held licenses in both Maryland and Washington, DC. Lindsey enjoys working with families and other individuals to identify each child’s strengths and weaknesses and to implement a program to help each child reach their full potential.
